Swissx claims Everton shirt sponsorship talks

English top-flight soccer club Everton are in talks with cannabidiol (CBD) product manufacturer Swissx to become their next front of shirt sponsor, according to the brand’s chief executive Aiki David.

The Toffees are in the market for a new jersey partnership after announcing in February they would be ending their arrangement with gambling firm SportPesa at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, cutting the contract short by two seasons. That deal was worth a reported UK£9.6 million (US$11.9 million) per year.

With Everton eager to secure a principal partnership ahead of the 2020/21 season and with the club also seeking funds for their planned new UK£500million (US$620.6 million) stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, Swissx has emerged as a leading contender.

Speaking to Insider, Swissx’s chief executive Alki David, revealed he was “engaged with Everton to take over their shirt. The front of their shirt”.
